A message from our Mayor:
A huge thanks goes out to Adrienne Zenko and Andrea Hanssen for organizing Trick or Treat in the Heat. Also thanks to all the participants. The decorations, costumes, and hospitality made for a fun, social evening. It’s so much better than a cold, dark October night.
Reminder that the Annual Information Meeting is at 10am this Saturday in Ted Macdonald park. Bring your own chair and coffee/beverage. Donuts will be served.
Baseball will follow after the meeting.
Music in the park at 7pm. Bring a lawn chair and beverages in a cooler. Potato chips will be provided.
Reminder – we are playing games in the park tomorrow (Wed) at 6:30 pm, weather permitting. Also, we will be playing ball in the park on Saturday at 11am.
Saturday Baseball is postponed until July 2, when we will try to resume. If anyone wishes to use the equipment before that time please contact Dean at 780-982-0920.
Update to the bear sighting, Wildlife requests that people report where the bear is each night. Text or call Marge at 587-986-7885. A trap has been set up. Please do not go near it. Remove any compost, bird feeders, suet, garbage that could be accessible. The bear will not leave if there is an ample source of food.
Baseball is now done for the season. Thanks to all the participants for coming out. Thank you to Dean and Carrie for organizing again.

Reminder – Flashback Freddie will be playing at Ted Macdonald Park this Friday (Aug 20) at 7pm. Bring your own chair and beverages.
Due to low attendance, ball is cancelled Wednesday evenings. We will continue to play ball on Saturdays, starting at 11am.
As of July 17 the fire ban at Nakamun Park has been changed to a fire advisory. You can now have fires in an outdoor fire pit, but please be cautious.
The entertainer that was booked for tomorrow has had to cancel due to a medical emergency. Music in the Park will be postponed to another date, more detail will be provided at tomorrow’s village meeting.
Reminder – summer village events are planned for this Saturday, please come out and join the activities!
