The Summer Village of Nakamun Park reminds all residents to be extra vigilant in protecting their property during the off-season/winter months. This includes taking preventive measures to help deter property crime: check your property regularly, ensure doors and windows are locked, store valuable items out of sight, and ensure vehicles and ATVs are kept in a secure location when not in use.
Over the past several years, the RCMP have been working to keep the public better informed/engaged on local crime activity. A network of regional crime maps has been launched; these maps keep a running account of any reported property crime, criminal activities, etc. within the region and can help property owners assess and adjust to trends in their communities. The Summer Village of Nakamun Park is part of the Parkland Regional Map (hosted through Parkland County’s website, follow the link below to view the map):

Instances of trespass, property crime or other suspicious activity/criminal activity are best reported to local law enforcement for follow-up: Community Peace Officer 1-844-786-4650 or RCMP (Parkland Detachment) 1-825-220-7267, or 9-1-1 in case of emergency.
