Prosper Place – Thank You for Supporting Mental Health
For the past several years, the Summer Village of Nakamun Park has coordinated with the Prosper Place initiate in support of mental health advocacy in our region. This included approving a request to designate a location in the municipality as a collection point for bottle donations collections.
We recently received word from the Executive Director of Prosper Place, Lori Pratt, that their operations would be undergoing some restructuring, and as part of this restructuring the bottle collection program would not be continued. Executive Director Pratt also expressed her appreciate for the community’s past support
Prosper Place bottle collection is now CLOSED.
Over the past 2 years you have helped Prosper Place to reduce stigma and provide supportive programming for people living with the effects of mental illness by generously donating your bottles and cans. Each and every recyclable container was VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
There are new beginnings for Prosper Place through integration with Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton Region. This will enhance supports and services to those in need.
Unfortunately, the bottle collection program at Nakamun will not be continuing. Again, thank you SO MUCH for your past support!
Lori Pratt
Executive Director
Prosper Place
Thank you to everyone who participated in this initiative, and we encourage you to consider reaching out to the Canadian Mental Health Association to find ways of continuing your support through this integrated new framework.
Thank you,
Summer Village Administration
