It is time for us to demonstrate our incredible ball playing skills again as a community!
Earlier this year Garry Richmond volunteered to plan and install shale in the ball diamond around the bases and home plate area, this is now complete and looks fantastic! Kudos to Garry and the rest of the volunteers that helped with this.
We also have new plates, softballs, bats and a couple of spare gloves thanks to a municipal grant so we are good to go with the season.
We will play our first Saturday game this coming weekend (June 3) at 2:00pm, then play every other Saturday at 2pm. Our first Wednesday game will be on June 7 at 6:30pm. For all games, they are weather permitting and I will post an update before game time if we are calling it off. If you do not see a cancellation post, the game is on.
We play a version of slow pitch called “three pitch”, which is very suitable for our skill level. The following link has the rules for the game, please review them before coming out to play:
