Notice: Fire Ban In Effect – June 29th, 2021
In consultation with Council, and on the advice of the municipal fire services provider (Onoway Regional Fire Services), the Summer Village of Nakamun Park has now declared a Total Fire Ban, effective immediately.
This fire ban will remain in place until further notice. The fire ban prohibits open burning, fireworks, backyard fire pits, cooking stoves and barbecues that use fuels such as wood and briquettes. Gas and propane barbecues are still permitted during the fire ban, provided they are properly located and supervised.
We also remind residents and guest to exercise extreme caution when using ATVs, yard equipment, etc. as hot surfaces or sudden sparks may cause ignition of surrounding grass/brush.

As of July 17 the fire ban at Nakamun Park has been changed to a fire advisory. You can now have fires in an outdoor fire pit, but please be cautious.
