Boat Launch Under Construction

Construction of the new boat launch started yesterday, during construction the boat launch is not available for public use and access to the area has been blocked. If you need to launch a boat, there is a boat launch on the east side of the lake in Losie Glade. The contractor is planning to have construction completed by the end of next week, depending on the weather and any other construction challenges encountered.

Here are a couple of pictures of the equipment in place and the silt curtain set up in the water to minimize disturbing the surrounding area.

Update on the boat launch – our huge pile of rocks has been replaced with a much smaller pile of much smaller rocks. We also now have a road leading out into the lake.

The boat launch is now complete and ready for public use! Please use caution with the boat launch as it is much different than our old launch.

Kudos to our mayor Harry Kassian for staying with this project from start to end over the last 4 years or so. It was a huge effort and an exercise in patience to get to where we are now – with a fantastic boat launch for the community.
