Boat Launch Temporarily Closed

Dear Residents,

Please be advised that the Nakamun Park boat launch is temporarily closed. Rising spring lake levels have covered the majority of the launch surface and this in turn has caused some erosion which makes the boat launch less safe to use.

In order to prevent harm to persons or property, and protect the boat launch structure from further damage, the boat launch will remain closed until further notice. Administration is currently working to ensure the required permits are in place. An assessment of the damage is complete and we have contractors ready to engage as soon as our permits are in-hand and lake levels recede.

The municipality understands lake access is important to the community and we appreciate your
cooperation as we work to address this issue as quickly as we can. If you have any questions regarding this notice or how it may impact you please contact the administration office for further clarification.
